These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pave ("Pave," "we," "us"), a California community college transfer planning tool. By creating an account or using Pave, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Pave helps you track coursework, IGETC/Cal-GETC progress, and build a suggested semester-by-semester transfer plan, including AI-generated suggestions. Pave is not a substitute for your college counselor, your college's official articulation office, or ASSIST.org. Course requirements, articulation agreements, and AP credit policies change and can vary by catalog year. Always confirm your plan with your counselor and verify course equivalencies at assist.org before registering for classes or relying on any requirement being satisfied. AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong.
You need an account to use Pave. You're responsible for the accuracy of the academic information you enter and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Pave offers a free tier and paid Pro/Premium subscriptions billed through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing, which opens Stripe's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as we decide to grant at our discretion. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
You keep ownership of the academic information you enter (courses, grades, transcripts, AP scores, target schools). You grant Pave a license to store and process that information solely to provide the service to you, including sending it to our AI provider to generate plans and answer your questions (see our Privacy Policy).
Pave is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not guarantee that following a Pave-generated plan will result in successful transfer admission to any institution.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pave and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed requirements, delayed transfer, or reliance on AI-generated advice. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 if you're on the free tier.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon deletion, your data is removed per our Privacy Policy's retention terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use Pave after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
